Dr Matthew Evison (MD MRCP) is a Consultant Chest Physician at Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. He is the clinical lead for the CURE programme and Tobacco Addiction and a core member of the Specialist Lung Cancer and Pleural Teams. This role includes delivery of the CURE, RAPID and Lung Health Check programmes at Wythenshawe Hospital. He is the Director of the Lung Pathway Board and clinical lead for the CURE project for Greater Manchester Cancer. He is a member of the British Thoracic Society Specialist Advisory Groups for Tobacco and Pleural and a member of the British Thoracic Oncology Group Steering Committee.
Cheryl Pearse (RN BSC hons) is a senior Smoking Cessation Nurse Specialist and NCSCT certified practitioner at Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. She is the nurse lead for the inpatient CURE programme and outpatient Smoking Cessation teams. She has a broad nursing experience including Respiratory Medicine, Oncology and ED. The last 13 years have been devoted to Smoking Cessation where she has made service changes and developments to improve the service and support available to patients who wish to stop smoking.
